Inauguration of Delta Innovation Center, by the Esteemed President of the University

The opening ceremony of the Delta Innovation Center was held at the School of Mechanical Engineering on December 15, 2014, at the same time as the research week.

In this ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Anbia (University President), Dr. Sadr (Senior Advisor and General Manager), Dr. Younesian (Vice President for Research and Technology), a group of research managers and members of the Board and faculty of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Became; Dr. Taheri Behrooz (Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) welcomed the President of the University and the accompanying staff and thanked Delta Brokerage and all those involved in setting up the center. Emphasizing that the main mission of the university is to transform human resources into efficient, entrepreneurial, and creative human resources; He expressed hope that we will see good results from this innovation center as well as another innovation center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Energy Innovation Center).

At the ceremony, Dr. Anbia (President of the University) also expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of the Delta Innovation Center, said: To know. Emphasizing that what our society needs today is innovation; “Our faculty and students have a high motivation and potential for research and technology work, and it is our job to make the necessary groundwork,” he said. We have over 30 innovation centers and research institutes, and one of the missions of the university’s board of directors is to remove obstacles in front of researchers for the community-based research activities of these centers. Dr. Anbia added: “Fortunately, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is one of the most prominent faculties in the country, and this faculty and other faculties of Iran University of Science and Technology have great people who I hope will be able to appreciate these world figures.” In the end, he appreciated all those who have founded and supported this center and expressed his happiness for being among the innovative students and getting acquainted with the activities of the groups based in the Delta Innovation Center.

At the end of the ceremony, Engineer Shafiee (CEO of Bayatek Technology Development and Innovation Company, graduated from the University of Mechanical Engineering and student of Technology Management at the Faculty of Engineering); Introduced the history of activities and establish measures and the process of attracting new teams in Delta Accelerator. He thanked the former and current faculty members of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the University for their support and assistance. At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Anbia and the accompanying delegation visited the projects and start-ups located at the Delta Innovation Center. It should be noted that Delta Innovation Center, with the cooperation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology and the support of the Vice President for Science and Technology, was set up in 1400 by Bayatek Technology Development and Innovation Company. Mechanical engineering and its reconstruction and then attracting 6 teams with the field of activity required by the country in November, has begun its official activity. Delta Innovation Center acceleration services in 3 areas of food safety, medical equipment, and digital health. According to Engineer Shafiei, renting a private space for professors and students, providing business consulting, commercialization services and bringing the product to market, and attracting capital and resources for start-up teams are other services that the center can provide.
