Prof. Hamid Ahmadian was a distinguished professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology; his expertise was in vibration and modal analysis. He was the founder and head of Campus #2 of the University of Science and Technology and one of the founders of the Iranian Acoustic and Vibration Association. Prof. Ahmadian joined the School of Mechanical Engineering in 1996 as an assistant professor and was promoted to professor in 2006.

In August 13, 2021, after a few days of fighting with Covid-19, Prof. Ahmadian unbelievably and sorrowfully passed away leaving us in sadness, discomfort, and disquietude. His body was buried in the “Commendables” section in Behesht-e-Zahra.
