Lecture Topic: University Research Focusing on the Needs of Industry
A session on academic research focusing on the needs of the industry was held on Tuesday, 14 Dec 2021, in the amphitheater of the School of Mechanics in both face-to-face and virtual form. the speaker of this meeting was Mr. Mehdi Rajabali, CEO of Iran Khodro Engine Research Center, and the guests of this meeting were a group of students and professors of the Faculty of Mechanics. Mr. Rajabali spoke about the future path of the automotive industry and the company’s vision with the aim of expanding scientific capacity and applying the latest knowledge in this field in order to achieve a high-quality car. He also mentioned the good relationship between the automotive industry and university professors and using the capabilities of the university complex to solve the challenges of the industry and gave a brief description of Iran Khodro’s latest achievements in producing some high-tech parts, including the EF7+ engine piston. He also spoke about the company’s roadmap for the production of other important car parts, including turbochargers, belts, and oil pumps. At the end of the meeting, a group of professors asked their specialized questions about the development of industry-university relations, as well as the future plan of the automotive industry, and Mr. Rajabali answered these questions.
