Mechanical engineering is the most capable engineering discipline in describing the universe. It is an art that uses knowledge with an appropriate delicacy to know, exploit, and protect nature. Moreover, it is determined to deliver appropriate settings for human life and other creatures residing in the universe. The School of Mechanical Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology, with great honors, is known as the first faculty of engineering in Iran, which is the home of many sophisticated engineers and scholars who have shown exceptional dedication and determination to establish robust and secure development of Iran in various aspects.

The school has 45 academic members, including 17 full professors, 13 associate professors, and 15 assistant professors with world-class expertise in applied design, manufacturing, energy conversion, aerospace, and bioengineering disciplines. Furthermore, the school has several research laboratories with solid and robust partnerships with numerous national and international academic and industrial institutions. In addition, modern education laboratories, workshops, and entrepreneurship centers, besides strong and vast industrial cooperations and jobs fairs, may help students find their good path into the world of work.

According to the prestigious world ranking centers, the school has shown significant progress and improvement in recent years. According to the latest ranking published by NTU, the Iran University of Science and Technology is ranked 4^th nationally and 49^th globally in Mechanical Engineering.
